The Hilong-9 drill rig of Hilong Oil Service & Engineering Columbia Project formally started operation at 00:00 on June 19, 2012 local time!
At the end of 2011 after learning this project’s bid invitation info, in the face of Party A’s misgiving and doubt toward Chinese drilling company, and also fierce competition from a famous international drilling company already providing local services to Party A, Hilong’s bid team sized up the situation, organized sufficient survey, held repeated discussions, and finally drafted bid strategy and was finally successfully awarded the bid, on May 7, 2012 it formally signed the contract.
HL-9 drill rig left the port on April 7, 2012; on May 13 it arrived at Columbian port. The whole process from unloading, custom clearance, 1300 km long inland transport, on-site installation, acceptance, rectification to successful startup of operation, only took as short as 37 days, which created multiple records in fastest custom clearance, fastest transport, and fastest operation startup by Chinese drilling rig in Columbia.
